If you play without an account, your guesses and which games you've unlocked are kept only on your device. If you make an account, we store your email address, the name you choose, your scores for each game and the groups you join, so you can see your stats and play with friends. Your name is visible to members of your groups.
We don't use passwords. When you sign in we email you a one-time code from notify.mindthetap.com. We only email you to sign you in.
We don't show any ads right now, and no advertising cookies are set. If we add ads from Google AdSense in future, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can choose whether to allow personalised ads when you first visit, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Map images are loaded from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address to deliver them. Station facts shown after a game are general information and may not be exact.
You can delete your account from the bottom of your profile page at any time. Your email address, name, scores and group memberships are removed straight away. Groups you created pass to the next member, or are deleted if empty.
We hold as little as we can: no passwords, payment details or addresses. If a data breach ever affected your information, we would tell the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours where required, and let you know without delay.
