London Underground stations

The London Underground is the world's oldest underground railway, first opened in 1863. Today it has 11 lines, each with its own name and colour, and carries millions of passengers every day. The lines are the Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria and Waterloo & City.

Despite the name, more than half the network is above ground, mostly in the suburbs. The deep central sections run in round tunnels, which gave the network its nickname, the tube. It reaches from Epping in the east to Amersham in the north-west, and from Morden in the south to Cockfosters in the north.

In Mind-the-tap, famous central stations such as Oxford Circus and Westminster often appear in early rounds, while quiet stops near the ends of lines make the later rounds hard.

These 269 London Underground stations can all come up in the daily game. How many could you find on a map?
